Tour diary and iTunes

well the tour's going great... the first night in Cork was as expected; shambolic but hugely enjoyable! Followed by another great night at Dolans in Limerick. Dolans do the best fish and chips around, just what you need after a long drive...a pint of Guinness and some fresh fish in beer batter, nyum...I've been playing some new stuff which is keeping me on my toes. I've brought a whole load of gear that I'm not terrible sure how to use, or what it's potential is. I find that quite exciting though... the thought that something could go wrong at any moment gives me just the sort of edge I like...
Another London date has been added to the tour. iTunes festival at Air Studios (win tickets here). I'll be playing with Leo Abrahams doing a song we wrote called 'Epilogue' for his latest release 'The Unrest Cure'. I'll also be doing a couple of songs with him and KT Tunstall, another one from Leo's album and a cover (one that will be great fun to play). As far as I'm aware KT will do her own set too, and also be playing with Billy Bragg. I'm looking forward to meeting Billy, hopefully we'll get chatting about prison work. He's founded something called 'Guitar Prison Doors' were they provide prisoners with guitars, I suppose in the hope that they find some solace/redemption/freedom in expressing themselves through song: something that inspires me greatly!
I'm hoping to do another prison tour in April... think it'd be cheeky to ask Billy to sing backing vocals?
I think I'd get a slap in the eye right and quick...
Right, I'm off to get a shower as I'm pure stinking... aren't you glad we're so intimate...

Rory replied about 5 hours after.Glad to hear it's going well, looking forward to seeing you in Derry tomorrow. Any plans to release your new material soon?
Yumphla replied 1 day after.Just back from the Derry gig.
absolutely magnificent. Especially enjoyed the song where Claude Makelele was helping the one eyed lady.
Once again, Superb and the banter was excellent.
Jenny replied 3 days after.Hey Foy! Great to meet you in Derry, and its good to know your "lovin the braille approach!" I love the idea of embossing album titles on the covers. It would come in very handy for us blindies. I mean not many things have braille to identify them, and bottles that do are rediculous. Like turpentine says "do not drink" on the bottle, but if we knew what was in it we definitely wouldn't drink it!
Sorry about the rant! Keep up the good work and the class tunes.
kris replied 4 days after.are the plans for your prison tour all lined up? would love to help in any way. its an awesome thing to do.
