New Songs...

It's good to be home... home in London that is.. not that I have homes the world round or anything, just that often when you say home you mean your mother land.  Sometimes I think of Belfast as home, but usually home's just wherever I live... there's no reason why you should know or care to know that, but there you go...

I did a gig for iTunes a few weeks back and they have an EP of the live tracks up there for download now, including two new tracks that haven't been released elsewhere yet... here's the link if you want it in your life...

I also did a duet of a Woody Guthrie song with Billy Bragg but I don't think they've uploaded it... if they do I'll let you know; it's a beautiful song!

I'm pretty flat out at the minute trying to organise an exhibition with Joanne in Belfast, record new stuff with Leo Abrahams for a download only EP (available from my site soon), working on songs for a new band project...and getting ready for another tour to mention just a few things... The tour is what I wanted to mention though...  I'll try to get the dates up today if possible...aside from the Brussels and German dates there'll be some UK dates for April... I'm also planning a gig in Belfast and a tour in Ireland, not that there's a demand, just that I'm in dire need of a good Guinness....nyum!

speak soon...fv

I bought the 2 new tracks at the weekend. Amazing!! Does "Please Don't Grow" feature Joanne or am I just hearing things? :-) There is a huge demand for you to do an Irish Tour off the top of my head I can think of around 10 people who can't wait for you to play again. We could do you a deal if you play in Dublin we'll all buy you a pint. That's 10 pints of Guinness it's an offer you can't refuse hee hee! Good luck with your other shows and hopefully we'll see play you very soon

I will definitely be at any Dublin gig - huge fan since I saw you on Imeall Geal and have passed on your myspace more than once! Jess (The blue eyed Irish speaker also on Imeall Geal when you were)

I got it! and iTunes actually made it available in the States...fan-tastic! They are brilliant songs...the "new" ones always feel like I've heard them for ages. And the Loop work...that really transcends gadgetry--it's a beautifully symphonic thing. Man, I wish I'd seen it live! we were planning to make the trip to Nashville to see the gig, but the venue said it was a private event...the lovely woman in charge of the event told me we could come, but we got her e-mail two hours before the show and it's about 4 hours from atlanta! anyway, we'll catch you next time your stateside--or we might just have to make a pilgrimage to Ireland...

Belfast you say? When and where? After the gig you did in Derry I'll be doing my best to get to future gigs, best show I've seen in a long time! Any word of a new album?

Hi Foy any chance of you doing a gig here on the south coast? We have a great little intimate arts centre here in the new forest which would be perfect for you. Happy to try and set it up. Otherwise, are you playing regularly in London anywhere? Cheers Bob

Foy... you truly are a work of art. Please come to the USA. We are so deprived of true soul singers and you, sir, are one in a million. I beg of you. Make the journey ;)

So I've gone all these years without ever buying into the whole itunes thing, but finally just had to today to get to hear these two new tracks! Excellent! looking forward to seeing you live back home (belfast that it is!)

Hey Foy, Really looking forward to seeing you back in Dublin. I've about 15 - 20 people converted into Foy fans now so i'm sure there'll be plenty of demand. Saw you up in Dundalk a few weeks back and you played that new song that you use the chello bow on the guitar in. It's absolutely class, hopefully you'll have it on the new album!!!

Sounds like you gotta come back to Belfast man... I'm adding my voice to the cries! Also, give us more info on this exhibition when more word becomes available!
